Happy Labor Day weekend all!

I have to have something to look forward to (other than ice cream, that is).  Next August 2017.    In fact, August 21, 2017 there will be a total solar eclipse with the best vantage point being here in Oregon.  http://www.eclipse2017.org/2017/states/OR.htm

By then, I should be done with chemo, the lymphoma in remission and my hernia repaired.  I should be biking, hiking, Zumba-ing, etc.

It is my light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.  Or in this case, my anti-light at the end of the tunnel.  The eclipse!  To the eclipse!!

(Eclipses have been interpreted as omens, or portents. The ancient Greek historian Herodotus wrote that Thales of Miletus predicted an eclipse that occurred during a battle between the Medes and the Lydians. Both sides put down their weapons and declared peace as a result of the eclipse. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse)

  1. Thanks for keeping the blog, lady! And keep the gross-not-gross pics coming; this is all Greek to me, and visual aids really help. The eclipse next year will be stunning, more so when the light is slowly revealed and shining on your healthy face again!
